Today is the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear explosion: the disaster that remains the worst nuclear power plant accident in history, and continues to affect thousands of people across Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia. With generations of children affected by the radiation, Chernobyl is an everyday reality, and not just an anniversary the world remembers once a year. The Nadeshda rehabilitation centre in Belarus was founded to give hope to children living in towns and villages contaminated by the Chernobyl disaster.
