Worldwide, women comprise about 40 % of the agricultural labour force and play a crucial role in food production, processing and marketing of produce along agricultural value chains. Although they have a critical role to play in all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), women and girls across the world still face significant discrimination in access to productive resources and economic opportunities in agriculture.
